 Leslie Tar  - a physician and Elder Law Attorney

 

Leslie Tar


      Dr. Tar was born in Budapest, Hungary. He is the son of Hungarian immigrans who fled from Hungary in 1956 during the Hungarian Revolution. The first picture above to the left is a depiction "The Escape" painted by his father, Laszlo Tar. While a young boy, Dr. Tar lived in New York city and the middle picture is a portrait created by his father when Dr. Tar was about 4 years old. The far right photo is now also outdated but depicts Dr. Tar in midlife adulthood.

 

       Throughout his life, Dr. Tar has dealt with the problems of the elderly and homeless. The pen and ink drawing to the right created by Laszlo Tar captures some of the time Dr. Tar and his father spent raising awarness to the problem of homelessness.

 

        Dr. Tar Is a Board Certified Allergist, Rheumatologist, and clinical immunologist. He completed medical school at the University of Rochester School of Medicine and Dentistry after attending the City College of New York. He trained at the Hospital of The University Of Pennsylvania and Temple University Hospital, before completing his Juris Doctorate at the University of Pittsburgh School of Law. Dr. Tar completed the Health Law Certificate Program during his law school training. He as also obtained Board Certification in Occupational Medicine and Environmental Medicine after concurrently completing the requirements for an M.P.H. (Masters of Public Health) in Occupational Medicine at the School of Public Health of The University of Pittsburgh while attending The University of Pittsburgh School of Law. He has been an Elder Advocate for years, achieving Board Certifications in Geriatric Medicine.   His other Board Certifications include Internal Medcine, Allergy and Clinical Immunology, Rheumatology, and Legal Medicine. On a daily basis, Dr. Tar focuses on Elder Law, Medicaid Planning, and elements of Estate Planning from his primary office locate in Port Charlotte Florida.
